Man allegedly murders his wife and three children before setting himself and the family on fire

A Kenyan family of five including a man, his wife and their three children were all burnt to death in the early hours of Tuesday Jan. 16th in Juja, Kiambu county. According to police reports, members of the public reported the fire incident at the home of one Patrick Nderitu Karuiru to the area chief in Kiambu county. When the area chief arrived at the scene, he found neighbours putting out the fire. After they manage to put out the fire, Nairobi News reported that they found one burned body of the middle-aged man laying at the veranda door with the other four bodies in the bedroom. All three bodies of children, aged below 10 years, had visible head injuries, same to the body of their mother, Rosemary Kaninia. The authorities in Kiambu county suspect the man murdered his wife and their three children before setting the house on fire.

Davido's producer, Kiddominat apologizes to Soundcity following his Twitter rant for not winning the 'Producer of the year' award

Last weekend, Kiddominat, the producer behind Davido's monster hit single 'IF' lost the 'Producer of the year' award to Young John at the Soundcity MVP Awards. He wasn't happy about it and went on a Twitter rant to call out the award organisers. Now he's swallowed his pride and gave a lenghty apology to Soundcity saying, 'I, 'Kiddominat' would love to use this opportunity to offer my Profound Apologies to the Organisers of the SoundCity MVP Awards Festival and To my Loyal Fans for my Angry Outbursts and the bad choice of words that I used against the MVPs festival'. He goes on to say,  'those words does not reflect my true personality and I am deeply sorry and I hope and pray that my Fans and the entire management of  Consolidated Media Associates the Organisers of the SoundCity MVP would accept my apologies. Photos: Suspected Boko haram bomb maker arrested in Edo state

The Edo State Police Command has reportedly arrested a suspected Boko haram bomb maker arrested in Okpella community, Etsako East Local Government Area, a day after an explosion killed one person. It was gathered that strange vehicle was seen in Okpella on Monday and when concerned residents in the community stopped the car, the occupants fled. In the process,  one of the occupants set off a bomb which claimed the bomber's life and his college was apprehended. After interrogation,  a bomb factory was discovered in the community. A statement issued by Edo State Government on Tuesday confirmed the discovery of the bomb-making facility in Okpella. Photo: Enugu Court sentences 25-year-old woman to six months imprisonment for child trafficking

A Federal High Court sitting in Enugu has sentenced a woman, Onwe Nwakaego, 25, from Abakpa Nike Enugu, to six months imprisonment without the option of fine, for child trafficking. Two defendants, Onwe Nwakaego (f)  and Onwe Ifeanyi (m), were arraigned on January 17th 2018 by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for engaging a 7 years old child as a domestic worker, an act contrary to Section 23 (1)(a) of the Trafficking In Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015. After listening  to the defendants and the prosecution, and viewing the necessary documents presented by the prosecution as exhibit in the case F.R.N Vs Onwe Nwakaego& Anor, the presiding Judge, Justice Abdullahi Mohammed Liman, found the first defendant guilty as charged and she was sentenced accordingly.
